Gothenburg Health - Director of Surgical Services

Eide Bailly Executive Search has been retained by Gothenburg Health located in Gothenburg, NE to recruit it’s next Director of Surgical Services (Director).  Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director is responsible the daily operation of the surgery department.

The new multi-phase construction project, completed in the spring of 2018, includes a surgical suite, brand-new patient wing, prominent main entry, clinical expansion for in-house providers and visiting specialists, advanced imaging suite with in-house MRI, and finally, a medically integrated YMCA.  In 2023, GH was recognized by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services as a Rural Provider Excellence in Quality.  In addition, GH was voted Best Surgical Center of the Region for the 2^nd year in a row.

THE COMMUNITY

Gothenburg, population 3500, is a progressive community that prides itself on community involvement, volunteers, and many organizations. The role oversees daily operations of the surgery department including clinical and business

components.  The position oversees staffing, training, perioperative care, and procurement.  This role must maintain effective partnerships with physicians.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with 5 year of progressive clinical nursing and managerial experience.
• Unrestricted Registered Nurse License with Nebraska Board of Nursing or a compact state is required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
