This role oversees the full financial cycle and serves as the quality-control checkpoint for third-party accounting by reviewing financial statements, payables, receivables, payroll and investor distributions, and negotiating key vendor, banking and insurance agreements. Additionally, the Controller manages audit and risk processes, drives budgeting, forecasting and long-term capital planning, partners on performance analysis with property management, and liaises with external providers to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications include Bachelors degree in Accounting and at least 10 years of progressive private accounting experience. CPA licensure is highly preferred. A proven track record of managing outsourced accounting providers is critical for success in this position. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with excellent attention to detail, possess strong communication skills, and have the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel is required. Experience in real estate or property management finance is a plus.
