Responsibilities

As the Accounting Consultant Senior/Manager, you will serve as the primary accounting partner for multiple clients, managing their full financial lifecycle, from day-to-day transaction posting to complex month-end and year-end close activities. You will take ownership of weekly cash flow reporting, ensuring clients have real-time visibility into their financial position, and proactively address variances and answer questions such as “Why is my cash flow low?”  Beyond core accounting, you will assist with payroll processing and JE postings and accruals, and verify fixed asset schedules, expense reports and credit card transactions. Your expertise will drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and introduce automation tools that enhance efficiency. This client-facing position requires balancing hands-on accounting work with strategic guidance, while mentoring team members and supporting audits when needed. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred. A minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or lead roles is required. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and close processes is essential. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills is necessary; experience with Sage Intacct or similar systems is highly valued. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines are crucial. Experience across diverse industries such as franchise, entertainment, retail, and construction is strongly preferred.
